New Fortis Healthcare Clinics introduced in 2008.

PHYSIOTHERAPY - On Tuesday November 11th 2008, at 346 Rayleigh Road, Eastwood, next door to the Eastwood Practice, Fortis Healthcare started a Physiotherapy Clinic, which has run each Tuesday since that date. Hubert van Griensven, a Senior Physiotherapist from Southend University Hospital attends the Clinic and sees twelve patients during the course of the day, each for a 30 minute consultation. The service was so well received that a second Physiotherapist, Domes Briones, joined Hubert each Tuesday during January 2009.

ENT - Specialist Ear, Nose and Throat Clinics are now offered to Fortis patients every Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. These started on Tuesday 25th November 2008 and are based at The One Day Medical Centre at 1629 London Road, Leigh-on-Sea (next to the Highlands Surgery). Mr Nigel Warwick-Brown conducts the Clinics which specialise in the treatment of:
  • Ear wax removal
  • Otitis externa
  • Hearking difficulties
  • Balance problems
  • Nasal congestion
  • Sinusitis
  • Tinnitus
  • Ear pain

Fortis are pleased to be able to offer these services to their patients and look forward to introducing many other improvements to the health services offered to patients in 2009.
